National NSSLHA Raw Conversations

National NSSLHA Raw Conversations is a live event series is an interactive opportunity to discuss relevant topics with students in CSD programs. We’ll look at where we are amid the unprecedented reckoning of racial inequity in our society and within our academic programs. We want to learn from this time by engaging in deep reflection, discussion, and being intentional champions of equity and inclusion within CSD.

Depending on the nature of the discussion, this event may or may not be recorded.

2021 Dates and Topics

  • March 25 – Book Club Discussion (“How to be Anti-Racist" by Ibram X. Kendi or “Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria” by Beverly Daniel Tatum) (SOLD)
  • December – date and topic TBD

  • 5-minute speaking time for sponsor representative. Message should include an emphasis on their organization’s D&I efforts.
  • Due to the sensitivity of this topic and event series, sponsored contests or games are not appropriate.
