The ASHA Career Portal provides valuable resources and content to help prepare audiologists and speech-language pathologists for the next step in their careers. It is the ideal destination to promote Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) job opportunities.
ASHA members tell us they want more information about career advice and you, the employer, are in the best position to provide them with information that will guide them.
Content
- The article must be career-related and relevant to audiologists, speech-language pathologists, CSD assistants, or students entering the professions.
- Companies are encouraged to provide relevant research data, sources, and link to ASHA resources/publications when applicable.
- Content should focus on topics related to career development in any relevant settings for professionals in CSD. Please visit the ASHA Career Portal for examples of appropriate content.

- Content should not be promotional. Articles on the ASHA Career Portal are meant to be "evergreen." Therefore, hyperlinking to promotional content, such as but not limited to, job postings, events, etc. is prohibited.
- All content should be original or the property of the author/company.
- The content sponsor is responsible for crafting the content and providing any images that will accompany the article.
- All content and images are subject to review and edits. ASHA has final approval of the content.
- All content on the ASHA Career Portal becomes the property of the Association and may be repurposed, reused, or sunset. You retain the rights to your intellectual property. Any content that is repurposed will cite/mention original content and company.
Style & Structure
Article should follow these general guidelines:
- 500–800 words max (Word count does not include title, byline, author bio, or company summary).
- Any facts should be supported by citations presented as numbered endnotes.
- Sponsor will provide one associated image, that appears as an article thumbnail 360x211 and an article banner 750x260.
- This image cannot be a logo or product image.
- Any images must be at least 72 dpi.
- All images and graphics are subject to change at the discretion of ASHA staff.
- Articles can be bylined by company personnel. If bylined, it should be attributed to a specific person, people, and not just the company or organization.
- If content is produced using AI, there must be an attribution noted. For example, “This article was co-written by a human and Open AI. Portions were edited and generated using ChatGPT, and a human then reviewed the edits and the text before finalizing this article.”
Promotion
Each sponsored article will receive the following promotion:
- Placement on the ASHA Career Portal in the applicable section
- Medium rectangle (300x250) banner ad on ASHA Career Portal website; 50,000 impressions.
- Two post per quarter on ASHA social media accounts on a “Working Wednesday”
- Posts will be 1–2 months apart.
- Posts will use ASHA Working Wednesday graphic but mention (tag social media handle) sponsor and include the sponsor logo.
- New articles added to the ASHA Career Portal also appear under Career Development Highlights on the ASHA Career Portal homepage.
- Articles will remain on the ASHA Career Portal for a minimum of 1 year. The length of time determined by the ASHA Career Management Service staff.
- If appropriate and approved, articles may be promoted in other ASHA Communities and ASHA Now newsletter. Posts in ASHA Communities are subject to approval by administrators of the community. Publication in the ASHA Now newsletter is at the discretion of the content editor.
- Content on the ASHA Career Portal is reviewed annually to ensure hyperlinks work and for accuracy and relevance of information. Content may be sunset as deemed necessary by ASHA staff.
Timeline
- ASHA Career Portal article and images must be submitted four weeks prior to the publication date.
- Banner ads are due seven days before publication including clickthrough URL and social media hashtags.
- Corporate partners are strongly encouraged to establish and share with ASHA staff a content calendar for the year.
All content will be reviewed by ASHA editorial and is subject to edits to meet ASHA’s brand and voice style. Edits will be shared with corporate partner prior to publication.
